“No mapping between account names and security IDs was done” – This error occurs very rarely. When you defined a ROLE and if you add members to that ROLE then only the chance of occurring this error is there. When you created a role and added Members and Groups to that role and if any of the user is not available in the environment where we are trying to deploy the cube then this error will be thrown by SSAS Server. If you see the below given image, in that I added an user named Lenovo to the role created. Then I removed that user from my machine.
After removing the user added to the role when I try to process(or simply deploy) the cube then it throws the error “No mapping between account names and security IDs was done“. The solution for solving this error is to remove the members and groups who are not available in the environment where we are deploying.
Suggestion – Better to DEFINE role and add members once the cube is completely processed and moved to Production.
