One common question from many of those who are relatively new to Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services is how to alternate the background color of detail rows in a table data region. We also call it as Zebra Striping. To demonstrate the same I designed a table report and PFB the preview of the same.
Now, to change the background color of alternate row, follow the steps given below.
- Select the complete row as shown below and select Expression in the Backgroundcolor property.
- When the expression page opens then copy the below given expression.
=iif(RowNumber(Nothing) Mod 2,”Silver”,”White”)
- Click on OK and Preview the report. You can see Zebra Striping as shown below.
That is it. You can see the beautiful Zebra striping report. Try it !!
